As far as we could tell, the lobster exists solely so this little town could be known for its big lobster. For whatever reason, Australia is filled with big things - a giant banana, a huge rocking horse, a big sheep. The list could go on and on. In fact, it does: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia%27s_big_things Seeing the lobster was truly a life changing experience for Beth and I. It ALMOST surpassed the time we got to see THE WORLD'S LARGEST FRYING PAN in Rose Hill, North Carolina. No I'm not kidding (about the frying pan, maybe about the life changing experience). And that Wikipedia list could probably win Guinness' record for the most really big things in one country! ;-) Like Clara, I thought the Bud Barn's huge rocking horse was maybe the largest in the world . . . but this one clearly takes the prize!
