Haha how did he get a wallaby for a pet? Glad you are enjoying the photos. A book would be fun but I doubt anyone would publish it. Maybe if I had some type of unique angle...

Josh, great pictures of the animals. I used to date a guy who had a wallaby for a pet. I think I like them in the wild better. I am really enjoying living vicariously through all your incredible photos. Can't get over what fantastic experiences you are having and capturing through the camera lens. Any plans for a book down the road? I am sure many would love that.
Keep on truckin'. Julee and Ron

Yeah the animals were fairly used to people so you could play with the roos a bit. Their fur was very soft. One roo got fiesty and gave me a big roo scratch on my arm. The wallabies kept their distance.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by are roos like deer. Some are similar in color and I guess they both can jump... they both eat vegitation and get hit by cars. I don't think people really go roo hunting.

If you look at a map we are near Adalaide, which is in South Australia (one of Australia's states). We are in the center horizontally, and near the south coast.

Beth had never held a big snake like that before. She seemed to enjoy herself but might have been a little creeped.

Your description and the pictures are great! So now you've seen a kangaroo, wallaby, albatross, yellow-billed penguin and who knows what else. The python makes me shiver. How did you do it, Beth? Or do I remember that you have a biology background? Actually, you look like you're enjoying the experience. Contrast that with being seasick!

AWESOME!!!! Watch out for the duck billed platypus, they are poisonous. I bet you guys really liked this place. Could you pet the kangaroos or wallabies? If so, are they soft or do they have prickly hair? Did you see any koalas?

Nice! Except for the python...

So you got to wander around and the animals would just come up close to you? Are roos sort of like deer would be or something? The wallaby looks sort of fat and cute, like a character out of a cartoon.

Where are you - like if I looked on a map of australia?

Post a few more animal pics if you have them. Interesting. Too bad you missed the platypuses! I read a book about them a few years ago, how their bills are very sophisticated electronically for locating food when they nose around in the mud.
