Ah I hadn't linked them with The Remarkables in my mind. Mom, you don't have to think everything I put up is interesting just because you are my mother :). They were maybe cooler in person when you could walk around them and look at things. Also, people have died slipping off them into the ocean.

Great photography! And fun photography (with you right under the rock :-))! And fun text: ". . . and . . . well . . . rather remarkable." (I can see why you were at "a loss for words." ;-)) But weird Remarkables. In an awesome setting, but the rocks themselves . . . I just can't seem to get into. I told Dad they sort of remind me of the bristle cone pines in California that we four drove up into the stratosphere to see. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, eh? Dad thinks they (the bristle cone pines) were very, very cool looking; I just couldn't get it. ;-) (Probably has something to do with me not really grasping the age of the bristle cone pines and the time and erosion of the salt and sand on the rocks. And that the salt and sand didn't erode them to make a design I would have made. Haha! Definitely a Designer more creative and unconventional than I! Nice! ;-)) Anyway, I *love* that you let us look at that part of your grand tour! Remarkable! ;-) XOXOX

Lovely photos. Beautiful formations. I'm glad you included the one with you and Beth. It certain provides a greater appreciation for the size of the rocks. Do you remember that there was a Remarkables mountain range near Queenstown?

Remarkable! what more can you say? So it's just that one grouping of rocks out on the end of the land? Kind of odd. You see lots of unusual things down there, don't you? the picture with you guys in is the best!

The last stop on the grand tour was Remarkable Rocks, rock formations on the southern coast of Kangaroo Island. The rocks are huge and... well... rather remarkable. Swirling winds containing salt and sand have shaped the rocks over time.

<img src="http://focus.circulargenius.com/images/remarkable_rocks6.jpg" alt="Remarkable Rocks"/>
A fire blazed through Flinders Chase National Park not too long ago. You can see remarkable rocks in the distance, with burnt out brush in the foreground

Remarkable Rocks a bit closer up

Rocks with bay

<img src="http://focus.circulargenius.com/images/remarkable_rocks2.jpg" alt="Remarkable Rocks"/>
More rocks
