They would come right up to you (probably expecting food of some sort) and would let you pet them. They are about a foot tall, so that would be an enormous rat! What were those Dutch thinking? I sort of get the "rat" part. *Kind of* cute like a koala or something, but definitely a little beady-eyed and ookie-footed, too. Glad to have the photo, though. Dad is especially happy! :-) And *very* cool in light of the fact that quokkas are seen in one and only place in he whole world! *Awesome* about dinner and wine, overlooking the bay at sunset. He's about a foot tall and has friends all over the island. Rottnest Island is the only place quokkas can be found.
