The luge sounds exhilarating, giddy-making, and terrifying! The restaurant and all, high above with such gorgeous views, look like such an awesome experience. And to think you get to take it all repeatedly! And, wow, a fresh new batch of snow, just when you're thinking of moving on. How does that affect your departure timing? There is a gondola running from town up the mountain, and at the top there is a restaurant, cafe, bunjy, paragliding, and a luge. The photo above was taken when Jon came to visit. We took the 1 hour hike instead of the $17 gondola ride to the top. Jon barely made it. Unfortunately the luge (think going downhill pretty fast in a little rolling car with wheels and handlebars) had just closed for the day. Beth and I still wanted to do the luge, so we hiked back up yesterday. The luge was pretty fun, and the view was pretty much the same. It took me 12 hours to get this post up after I posted the photo. Something went wrong w/the web host and at the same time we were racing to get out the door and up to Remarkables by 9am. There was a good dump of snow last night (25cm), and the riding today was great. Just when we had thought the season was over, it's back.
