This is the view from a ferry I took accross the bay to a little beach resort area called Manly. It is filled with shops and other such places for tourists to spend their money and a beach jam packed with people. The best part of the trip was the ferry ride through the harbor.

I am back in Melbourne now. It is hot and I am spending my time working and looking for an apartment. Apparently while I was in Sydney, the temperature here got to 42C (that is 107F).

107! Wow! Yesterday morning when I got up the temperature in Omaha was 5. In Rolfe it was -1. Both places are expecting 30s and maybe 40s over the weekend–lots of melting.

The ferry ride sounded very nice.

I had a battle with dizziness, but nothing was found in the head or lungs or heart. I’m at Louise’s for a couple of days to more or less rest and get to feel 100%.

The views of your location are interesting.

Today it was 55F in Michigan…crazy for January! This is a really nice picture. Also, much love for the Miss Jackson quote that I just now found at the top of the page. ;)

P.S. Jon and I took Meowser to the emergency animal clinic today because we thought that there was something wrong with his stomach since it was all swollen and soft. It turns out he’s just fat.

We were in AU & NZ from Oct 25/Nov 17. Enjoy reliving some of our trip viewing your pictures. Wasn’t Kangaroo Island fascinating? We are envious of New Year’s Eve in Sydney. It was a rainy day when we went to Bondi Beach, so your pictures were quite different from our wet and cold experience. Enjoy and keep posting the pictures.
