From Bicheno we traveled south down the east coast of Tasmania. We stopped at Freycinet National Park for the day, and took a nice hike over a ridge to Wineglass bay (above). The beach was beautiful, and then Beth fell asleep.
Is the bay shaped like a wineglass, thus the name? And I need another pronunciation lesson: Freycinet? Hearing about “BITCHIN-OH” was helpful (not to mention fun ).

Wow . . . stunning photo! Colors, composition, textures. Beautiful blues.
And a *great* photo-catch of Beth! It communicates! (I assume the person in the background isn’t anyone you know?)
Yep, almost 4 a.m. here . . . . Just wasn’t tired. Headed now for the electric blanket. Mmmm. House is nippy. Mmmm again.

Somehow sleeping on the warm sand in the sun sounds great!

Oh yeah it was shaped like a wine glass. Sorry for the slow response. I believe it is Fray-see-net.

I remember the bay well. It is beautiful. The hike up and down the mountian to get to it was fun ( you know me had to rest some.)
