Beaumaris Cliffs

These are some cliffs near our house. They were the subject of much painting by some old school Victorian artists. The best I could do was take a photo.

That’s all I’ve got.

Winter seems like it is finally starting to crack, and spring is seeping in. Today is the final day of the Olympics, and I’m not quite sure what I will do once my life is returned to Olympicless normalcy. Actually I am sure I will find plenty to do. Really busy with work related stuff as of late. On that note, while watching the Olympics (an American broadcast) I saw an Apple iPhone ad featuring a Lonely Planet downloadable phrasebook application that is developed in my office. Have a look out for it, it’s pretty cool.

Here’s the iPhone ad I was talking about:

I like the photo of your beach. It’s nice to know it’s so close to you. I’m glad that spring is “hinting.” Well, in the States, “Olympicless” soon turns to college football season. Many schools, including Iowa State, begin their season Thursday night. Most begin on Saturday. So collegiate football will be in the news until after New Years. And pro exhibition games have started, too.

Cool ad. When I get rich and have a lot of extra time I’m going to get an iPhone. Developed in your office? Aren’t there only a couple of people in your office? Did you have anything to do with it?
Nice picture! The cliffs must be taller than they appear in the picture? And the light colored thing on the right that sort of looks like a tent or something is actually a rock right? I’m still waiting for close up birds, insects, leaves, flowers, fungi, crustaceans, etc. ;^)
Iowa State clobbered perennial national power S. Dakota St, so they should have a great season.
MSU probably will get beat by Cal today, and I surely hope Utah beats up on UM. If only App St can outslug LSU my day will be complete!

:-) XOXOX :-) I’m here, just enjoying your company, Josh! Your site is the first place I check when I come online and the last place I check before I go back to the cabin! Always. Ok, well maybe not *always*. ;-) XOXOX

Nah I didn’t have anything to do with the iPhone app. I am working in the city now in a large office (well for me anyways). The cliffs aren’t that high, maybe 50 feet or less. Yeah the thing that looks like a tent is just rock.

I haven’t posted much lately cause I’ve been dead sick all week. Missed most of the week of work, which is unusual for me, and still don’t feel very good. Hoping to feel better soon, but not looking forward to work this week.

Oh, Josh, I’m so sorry! How awful to feel so awful. :-( And missing work. :-( I so hope for a surprisingly not-so-bad week transitioning back into things. XOXOX

Hi Josh,

Great to know about the ad. And, bummer to be sick and for awhile. Poo. In the “leave a comment” place where it asks for “website” I’ll try to have my vacuuming blog in place maybe a couple of months after Grandpa Deane’s birthday celebration. Then I can enter something into that website area!

I hope you feel better fast.

Hey, I got an implant. People think that sounds sort of…interesting. But, it’s just for a fake tooth. But, thought you’d want to know!

Ok, that’s all the super interesting stuff I can think of right now. And, of course, your photos are much more interesting. Which is why we all look at your blog and why I don’t have a vacuuming blog yet.

I told Bill that I told you I got an implant. He asked me if I had watered it.

I thought you would be interested to know how conversation goes at our house.
