London Bridge
London Bridge, now called London Arch – Great Ocean Road, Australia

This rock formation on The Great Ocean Road used to contain two arches, but in 1990 the one connecting the remaining arch to land collapsed. At this point London Bridge, as it was called, became London Arch. Most signs and people still refer to it as London Bridge.

Beth told me that when the bridge collapsed, two people were stranded on the other side. Rather amusing is the fact that they were a couple having an affair on a weekend away from their respective homes and mates. Needless to say they weren’t overly excited about the media attention they got when rescued.

I remember seeing this while in Australia….its a great story of that couple….and a real beautiful sight.

I also find it amusing that the named it “London Bridge” and it came falling down.

Hahaha, I like that story.

I would imagine that Australia is getting bombarded with Heath Ledger stuff since he is a native. It’s pretty crazy over here.

Yeah lots of Heath Ledger stuff. I guess he is famous in the US as well. He is huge over here cause he is Aussie. Strange we just watched a movie with him called “Candy” where he was a drug addict. Was a pretty good movie.
