Perhaps engulf isn’t the right word. Mordialloc Pier is located just south of our home in Parkdale. Mordialloc is the next suburb south of us, and often times we head south on a walk and end up at the pier. The pier is routinely used by old men fishing (who rarely seem to catch much), couples relaxing, and kids swimming. It is a bit cold for swimming now. Autumn seems to be fully upon us.

Beth relaxing with the locals

Boats moored (you like that?) in the channel alongside the pier

Nice to see some new pics!
Is it cool sitting there? Looks like it might be getting that way. Do you ever go fishing off the pier?

Its Bethany! She needs a fishing pole between her toes.

Yeah the weather is bordering between nice days (~25C) and cold windy days (~12C). I haven’t been fishing in Australia. I brought my reel from New Zealand, but couldn’t bring my twelve foot rod.

There are normally lots of guys fishing on the pier on the weekends. I have never seen anyone catch anything besides a couple of small fish and one guy caught a starfish somehow :) .

The pictures are very nice. The pier reminds me of the piers on Clearwater Beach and the nearby Indian Rocks Beach near where Martha and Mick live. It’s nice they’re nearby so you can walk there, relax and just take in the atmosphere. Beth looks very comfortable–sort of like Hucleberry Finn. I like the boats along the channel. I think people who fish on the pier are similar to people who are in fishing boats not far from the cottage very early every morning. Although they’d probably like to catch something, they probably just enjoy the relaxation.

See you soon.

That was a nice warm day a couple of weeks ago! It seems silly to go fishing there though cause no one catches anything but old boots! haha
