After the surf beaches, we drove to Bridal Veil Falls, not far from Raglan as Beth described in the first Raglan post. The falls are a 55 meter drop in the Waikato river.

Strangely enough, doing a Google search for Waikato Veil Falls brings back lots of waterfalls all over the world, including North Carolina. I’m not sure what the significance of this is, or why so many waterfalls share this name.

You must’ve been in awe looking at this sight! (I keep using the same superlatives–beautiful, awesome, breathtaking. But the pictures you send are of truly magnificent sights. And your photography really captures them. I suppose if you’re gone a year, I’m not going to be able to come up with 365 adjectives! ;-) So I apologize in advance for the redundancy! Redundance?) I think Dad and I saw the N.C. Bridal Veil Falls when we vacationed there last time. They weren’t this powerful, though!

Impressive. Lots of moving water thrills me, and makes me want to swim. Swim swim swim! Could you swim in the pool?

Yeah one guy swam out to the falls. It was too cold for us though.
