It has been quite a while since my last post. That is because we have been quite busy leaving Queenstown, and since then we have been traveling through the Catlins which is basically no-mans land (no internet).
Before I post about our trip heading back north (coming soon for sure), I wanted to reflect a bit on the awesome season we had in Queenstown. The snow might not have been the best, but we had a great time and met a lot of good friends. Also, I think I promised some snowboarding photos, so here are a bunch of them. Too bad there weren’t more good ones, but we really didn’t have the camera out on the slopes too often.

Our mate Tim catching some air @ Cardrona
Our mate Rob riding a rail @ Coronet
Josh (me) grabbing his board in a nice headless shot
Rob doing a face plant shortly after cutting off my head from an otherwise nice photo (above)
Josh looking goofy on a Coronet Peak rail
Beth tearing up Ohau
Our mate Frasier looking slightly less goofy than normal
Your photos are really fun! It’s nice to see both you and Beth enjoying the slopes and “catching some air.” I love the downhill view of the lake. The “rails” look rather tricky–not for someone my age. Where is your van headed? Will you fly from Auckland to Australia? When? And what becomes of the van? It’s really been a good things for you.

LOVE SEEING AND HEARING IT ALL!!! Including the humor! Bought a map of Australia at Borders yesterday. Eager! (Yes . . . dropped all subjects from my writing. And sometimes even predicates. Must’ve gotten used to it when frequently nearing being timed out on computers while traveling. Hehe. ) XOXOXO

Oops! Guess the above message sent twice after all. Never had that happen before.
BTW, I had a first today: I was filling out a form that asked for Jon’s and your addresses. For yours, I wrote: “not available–traveling.” Cool, huh? Bet the person reading the form wishes he/she could say that, too! Drool, drool. XOXOX

Nice Pics! Been looking forward to seeing some action shots.
What great shots!!! It makes me want to try snowboarding, but I think it is best if I just keep skiing. It sure is beautiful. I am glad it was fun for the two of you.

Hey guys, good to hear from you. Glad you liked the photos. I am hoping to get a nice one up from our time in the Catlins soon.
As far as our plans, we drive to Auckland (~Oct 7), sell van, and fly to Australia Oct 14th.
