Our first stop in Thailand was the beautiful island of Ko Phangan (pronounced something like Koh Pon-yon). We stayed our first night on the west side of the island, and had a great view of the setting sun over the Gulf of Thailand.

I agree with Julee. I was thinking exactly the same thing. And, also, what a clueless life I lead about all of these places. This photo shows what seems like an absolute dream setting.

I’m with Louise on “clueless.” And with both Julee and Louise on “paradise” and “dream setting.” The photo is absolutely beautiful. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a sunset so vivid. It reminds me of the painting of the sunset at Lake Tahoe that Grandpa Deane gave Nanna many years ago (and of which he gave you a framed copy a couple Christmases ago–I have it safe here for you). I’m so glad you had such a great view. You deserve to see it since you went to the effort to get there! Way to make dreams come true, Josh and Beth! XOXOX

We had 5 inches of wet heavy snow yesterday and this morning it is all frozen solid. Looks pretty awesome where you are!!
