Yay! Tuk Tuks! Dad had just earlier today sent me a link to an article about them: http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/15/tuk-tuk-usa-gets-dot-and-epa-approval/. You’d mentioned them (in an email maybe), but the article helped me envision them more. And now your photo which shows them much more authentically! Especially without that waifer-thin (misspelling intentional) model! Thanks for posting! XOXOX

If you want to scare yourself witless, jump on the back of a motorcycle taxi. They have orange vests and most will give you a helmet but really, its just down to the skill of the driver – they move across lanes, drive into oncoming traffic, ignore street lights, all at pace. The quickest way around Bangkok but its skin of your teeth stuff. A good way to see just how the five-lanes-of-traffic work on those three-lane roads.
