WOW!!! Very striking. An excellent study in shades of gray! I *really* like it. XOXOX

In Hanoi we booked a three day cruise through Halong Bay. We were to take a four hour bus ride from Hanoi to Halong City, and then board a junk (type of boat).

The bay was beautiful, although clouded in mist most of the time. It is filled with thousands of limestone islands like those in the photo above.

The trip was fun, and all the people aboard our boat were lovely. However it was all inclusive, meaning they supplied the meals. The food was alright, but was never quite enough to satisfy my American appetite.

Mom, you sure were in fast with the comment.

Here’s another photo. I couldn’t decide which should be the main entry.

More companion pieces for an exhibit! I just keep marveling at all the subtle colors–steely blues and more.

By the way, at the risk of spoiling the photo forever, the large rock formation in the right foreground looks like it could be a profile of someone’s face. Not sure whose; use your imagination.
