So it’s 3am, and instead of sleeping and being awake for the horrendous flight schedule tomorrow, I am pounding coffee and publishing my itinerary.

Godspeed my friend.

Good luck Josh and Beth. Take lots of pics! I want to see clownfish in the wild! Hope to hear from you soon.

Hello, Josh:

This will be a fun way to keep track of you. I just looked up the time zones. If I read correctly, New Zealand and Fiji are 17 hours earlier than Chicago–18 hours earlier than Omaha. If right now it’s 8:00 a.m. (Saturday) in Omaha, then it must be 1:00 a.m. (Sunday) where you are. Right? Of course, it might be off a little because of Daylight Savings Time. I just want to be close.

What a great opportunity this is for you, Beth and your friend. We’ll be interested in your travels and experiences.

Last night Hal and I went to the opera Tosca. Very haunting melodies. Today we’re going to Ames for the Iowa State football game.

Love,
Clara

The time right now in Tahiti is 15:32. I believe it is 6 hours behind EST.

The post time says 8:31 pm (20:31) so if that is correct it would be 5 hours behind EST. By the way, did you see that we actually won a hockey game? It was pretty nuts, we got two penalties right at the end and the Hurricanes pulled their goalie so it was 6 on 3 for almost the entire last 2 minutes.

I didn’t see you won a game! That is so awesome. I wish I could have been there for it.

As far as the time goes, there has been some confusion. I’m not quite sure where… we didn’t cross the date line going to Tahiti, but we did when going to NZ from Tahiti. However there was only a one hour difference in time from Tahiti to NZ. I was expecting two, so I’m not sure what the deal is. Either way, it is 5:45pm in Auckland right now. I think we are seven hours earlier (actually 17 hours after) EST.
