Finally home for Christmas and it feels good to be home. It has been snowing a bit, and pretty cold. Right now it is -2C and Dad and I are waiting for Mom and Jon to wake up. Everyone stayed up late last night wrapping presents.

I am excited for the festivities to begin, and enjoying every moment that I get to spend with family and friends. Soon I will be thousands of miles away again, living my first Australian summer.

Oh, I am jealous. I want snow. :) I hope you had a very Merry Christmas. Have a safe flight back to Australia.

Hi Josh,

I’m glad you were able to make it back to Michigan. Abby and Jackson were back in Iowa for a few days, too. We made sugar cookies, sledded (I didn’t sled but took pictures) and Santa came to our house. Santa seemed an awful lot like Joe. It would be fun for you and Beth to get to meet Joe. I think you guys would all like each other.

Oh, about Santa. Santa couldn’t Ho, Ho, Ho real loudly because he thought it might scare Jackson. So, Santa said some real quiet “Ho, Ho, Ho”’s.

Grandpa Deane was here so that was nice.

I hope Beth is liking her “Outback Steakhouse gift certificate”!

Hey, I’d better get on that vacuuming blog. I need to talk with your mom about that!

I love your photos and comments. I have to admit that sometimes I get sidetracked and forget to look. But, when I do, it makes me want to be there.

Hi Josh,

Grandpa Deane and I came to Rolfe’s library to check out your blog. The photos are terrific. Clara just walked into the library to pick us up. We’ll meet up with Hal and Charles and Gloria later.

Hope you had a terrific holiday and have a wonderful New Year.

Love,
Marti & Grandpa Deane
